Sometimes you just get lucky. This happened to me just a few weeks ago when I stumbled across the book titled “Captain Billy Bush and the Bush Settlement” by Harry Enoch. This is a very well researched and written book by a top-notch Genealogist.
I first came across it when I was trying to find out of some of our ancestors were original settlers in the Bush Settlement (they were). However, what I was not expecting was a thorough description of the lives of Billy Bush’s Grandfather (John Bush Sr.) and Great Grandfather (Abraham Bush). Because of this I have rewritten Chapter 8 and have reposted it as “Post 10, Book 1, Part II, Chapter 8 v2”, Post 9 now reads Chapter 8 v1.
For those of you who pay close attention, you may remember that originally, post 9 was called “Chapter 8a”, I have since decided that it is better to make 8 a standalone chapter and discuss the Journey to Elizabeth Jackson in Kentucky and Missouri as a new chapter, Chapter 9. Please know that I have only rewritten the beginning of Chapter 8. Everything from the section “Brockman, Burris and Embree” remains the same.
I hope you enjoy this new information as much as I did.
