Becoming Menifee Logan & Peggy Gard
Sitting in my top drawer in my desk is a letter I got from my grandparents John Logan and Jeanne Logan (nee Smith). The cover of the letter promised to provide information about our ancestors going back as far as the 1500s. It did not disappoint; it is also the first spark that ignited my desire to be a genealogist. The letter in question includes trees, maps and a couple of stories handed down by our ancestors. The letter closed with the following request:
“Please guard it carefully because your children, grandchildren, etc., should be able to see his or her family history, and we encourage each of you to continue it for their benefit.”
I like to think I lived up to this.
Many thanks Grandpa John (aka Pup)!

Sean, thank you for the opportunity to read your book as you write it. Have you considered a rough outline, or sort of table of contents so we know what’s coming? I know any outline was always subject to change, but it sort of kept me on a path. Leonard
